Mat44 is coming soon.

How MAT44 Works

An AI-Assisted Bible App You Can Share Safely

Church leaders are right to be cautious about artificial intelligence—especially when it intersects with Scripture, doctrine, and spiritual formation.

MAT44 was designed with that caution in mind.

This page explains, plainly and without technical jargon, how MAT44 works, what it does not do, and why it can be shared with confidence across Christian communities.

Personalized Scripture — Without Replacing Discernment

One of the most important ways MAT44 differs from traditional Bible apps is that Scripture is not delivered from a universal, one-size-fits-all list.

Most apps present the same verses, in the same order, to everyone—often cycling through a fixed reading plan or a static list of “daily verses.” Over time, that experience can feel repetitive, disconnected, or impersonal.

MAT44 takes a different approach.

The app remembers a small amount of context so that daily Scripture remains personally relevant over time, without becoming curated by authority or driven by opinion.

This memory exists to support continuity, not control.

What MAT44 Remembers (And Why)

This allows the app to avoid unnecessary repetition, reduce randomness, and maintain a sense of gentle progression without imposing a plan.

The goal is not personalization for its own sake. The goal is to help Scripture meet people where they actually are.

What Memory Is Not Used For

MAT44 does not attempt to “know” a person in a shepherding or pastoral sense. Memory exists only to prevent Scripture from feeling mechanical or disconnected from real life.

Our North Star

When Scripture feels timely, people are more likely to stay in the Word daily.

MAT44 does not try to make Scripture easier, trendier, or more entertaining. It does not compete with sermons, Bible studies, or church life.

If MAT44 succeeds, it will be because people opened the Bible more often and Scripture quietly became part of everyday life.

Scripture Comes First — Always

MAT44 does not generate, rewrite, remix, reinterpret, or paraphrase Scripture.

Every verse comes from official, licensed Bible translations and is presented in full. Artificial intelligence never alters the biblical text.

What the AI Actually Does

The AI in MAT44 functions as a companion, not a teacher, theologian, or spiritual authority.

It does not teach doctrine, explain theology, resolve disagreement, or replace pastoral guidance.

Clear Guardrails by Design

When a question exceeds the app’s role, MAT44 redirects users back to Scripture, prayer, and trusted church leadership.

This app is not a replacement for church life. It is a companion to personal Scripture reading.

Built for Many Christian Traditions — Without Blurring Them

During onboarding, users select their faith tradition. This selection affects language and resources—not Scripture.

MAT44 does not adjust biblical text, teach doctrine, harmonize theological differences, or rank traditions.

Why MAT44 Avoids Gamification

There are no points, streaks, badges, leaderboards, or performance metrics. Scripture is not a task to complete or a score to improve.

MAT44 invites presence, not performance.

Group and Family Use — Without Pressure

The Group Plan allows Scripture to be shared quietly. There are no group chats, discussions, or participation tracking.

MAT44 offers a shared Scripture moment—not a social platform.

Designed for Trust, Not Dependence

MAT44 does not aim to keep users interacting with AI. There is no conversational Bible chatbot and no claim of personalized revelation.

The goal is devotion, not dependence.
